蝙蝠侠传奇、新蝙蝠侠第三季《蝙蝠侠传奇》(The Batman)是2004年WB制作的一部新系列的蝙蝠侠动画片,该动画是根据DC经典漫画人物形象蝙蝠侠成长的故事改编而来的,与之前1992年的蝙蝠侠动画不同的是这部动画片更侧重讲述年轻时候蝙蝠侠的成长故事,这点与同时期WB热播的美剧《超人前传》(Smallville) 有异曲同工之效.蝙蝠侠这个形象早已为广大超级英雄迷们所熟知,最早见于1939年的《大侦探漫画》(Detective Comics),由Bob Kane和Bill Finger共同创作而成,是DC许多经久不衰的漫画形象之一.蝙蝠侠传奇全集动画主要讲述的是主人公亿万富翁布鲁斯·韦恩(Bruce Wayne),幼时因双亲被罪犯杀害,痛恨犯罪,于是立志成为一名打击罪犯的卫士。他不断地挑战自己的极限,周游列国旅行,辛苦学习忍术,终于成为了后来的哥潭卫士-蝙蝠侠。坚强的意志,决不杀戮的信条,超酷的科技以及常人战斗在打击犯罪的第一线,这些都可以用来描述蝙蝠侠和他的后继者们。
